  • Chore Data: Chores created, star values, completion status, and submission photos

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version
  • Usage Data: App interactions, features used, timestamps
  • Push Notification Tokens: For sending notifications about chores and approvals

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

ChoreChamp is designed for use by families, including children under 13. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  • Children access the app using a 6-character invite code generated by their parent — no email or personal information is required from children
  • Parents have full control over their children's accounts and data
  • We do not collect more information from children than is reasonably necessary for the app to function
  • Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's information at any time
  • We do not share children's personal information with third parties except as described in this policy

We use the information we collect to:

  • Enable chore assignment, tracking, and reward management

We use Firebase, a Google Cloud service, to securely store your data. Firebase implements industry-standard security measures including:

Important: We do not retain data after deletion.

  • If you delete the ChoreChamp app, all your family data will be permanently deleted
  • If you remove a child from your family, all their data (chore history, star balance, submissions) is permanently deleted

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
